"My fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country."     - John F. Kennedy

Now is a great time to consider joining your local fire department!  The 15th annual Quincy Fire Academy is starting soon, starting with some evening classes in March. This is a regional fire academy oriented towards volunteer and entry level firefighters. We are open to firefighters in Plumas, Sierra, and Lassen counties. While not an accredited State Academy, we cover a wide range of topics and skills.

The Flyer and signup information is loaded onto the page on this site - click the button below. Applicants need to be associated with a fire department, and have the permission and signed release as part of the application from their Fire Chief. Most of our fire departments pay the fee and provide full protective clothing.

See the posted application form for more information.
